Tell the Bees!

In May, we got bees! One colony, roughly 10,000 bees delivered by UPS. Did not get any honey this season, but hopefully next year!

It was tradition in some European countries to "tell the bees" about major family events such as births and deaths. When Queen Elizabeth ⅠⅠ passed in 2022, the Royal Apiarist knocked on hive and said, "The mistress is gone, but don't you go. Your master will be a good master to you."
